Murmurs One (BBC Sounds), Written by Tom Crowley

The BBC’s new supernatural anthology podcast drama has landed, and I’m delighted to reveal that the very first episode is mine! It’s the story of a weary soldier on a very strange mission and it’s available on BBC Sounds and all good podcatchers now!

Any fan of the Twilight Zone will notice a few little tributes in the margins, as well as the episode’s subject matter and even the name of one of the main characters. This is my love letter to Rod Serling, Charles Beaumont, Richard Matheson and the rest, and I’m so happy with how it’s turned out. Credit for the production must go to director David Devereux, sound designer Catherine Robinson, composer Mary Epworth and lead producer James Robinson. I must also thank the fantastic Ella Watts of BBC Sounds, without whom I’d never have had this opportunity.

Make sure to subscribe to Murmurs to get each episode as they land - each one has been written by some brilliant genius of radio writing, numbering among them Janina Matthewson (of Within The Wires), Beth Crane (of We Fix Space Junk) and, particularly near and dear to me, Jen and Chris Sugden of Victoriocity! They’re all going to be sensational, so make sure to catch them all.
